For this piece from April 13-19 I interviewed thirty-three people the Kurdish city of Slemani about their formative childhood sound memories. I spoke with artists, students, teachers and common working people. These interviews were answered in Kurdish and the questions posed in English with a Kurdish translator present. Along with these interviews I made recordings during long walks around the city of Slemani. The final piece conisted of recordings of the interviews and the recordings around Slemani, played back over two speakers in the Hammami Mofti in Slemani and Citadel Cultural Centre in Erbil.
